About
Délia is a yoga teacher and musician based in Ibiza, and co-founder of the music project Alas de Luz together with Amu Ahava. She has been teaching classes and performing live for more than fifteen years, on the island and abroad.
She trained in India at the Bihar School of Yoga, in the lineage of Swami Satyananda Saraswati, and in Iyengar Yoga in France with Christian Pisano, a direct disciple of B.K.S. Iyengar.
She has worked with venues such as Six Senses, Meliá, Ibiza Gran Hotel and Garden of Light, leading classes, ceremonies and live music for international guests.
Her classes and ceremonies combine yoga with live voice, guitar and percussion.
Yoga Classes
Individual classes, couples and small groups, for all levels. At your villa, your hotel or outdoors. Every class is adapted to the bodies in the room, and can be given in silence or with live music.
Iyengar Yoga
Precision in alignment with the use of props — blocks, belts and bolsters — so that each posture adapts to your body and not the other way around. Accessible to any physical condition: beginners, old injuries or years away from the mat. Délia guides you through the correct understanding and development of each pose. For anyone looking for method, clarity and safety inside the posture.
Traditional Hatha Yoga
Rooted in the Indian tradition: pranayama, asana, kriya, shatkarma and meditation, in the order the practice asks for. Breath leads and the posture follows. A slower and more contemplative rhythm, closer to what happens once the body becomes quiet than to performance.
Yoga with Live Music
A refreshing class to open and soften the body, with live music enhancing and deepening the flow into each pose. A co-creation between yoga teacher and musician (Amu Ahava), with instruments such as sitar, bansuri (bamboo flute), kalimba and frame drum. A journey through movement and harmony, with Indian classical and world music played in the room.
Yoga & Voice Exploration
Chanting is one of the limbs of yoga. This special sequence prepares body and mind for liberating and exploring the voice, through spontaneous chanting and various exercises that release blockages. We then sing mantras together, in harmony. No singing experience is needed — the aim is to open the throat, not to perform.
Sound & Ceremonial Experiences
All concerts and ceremonies are led by Alas de Luz, the music project of Délia Om and Amu Ahava, with live voices, guitars, sitar, bansuri and drums. They can be held in a private villa, as part of a hotel programme, inside a retreat or on a festival stage.
Alas de Luz Concert
Sacred world music to nurture your soul, from a rich ethnic background. Amu Ahava and Délia Om unite in one breath to lead you deep inside, sharing harmony and beauty through their voices and instruments — guitars, sitar, bansuri, drums.
An extended repertoire going from original compositions to mantras, medicine music and traditional chants. The format adapts to the space: a dinner, a terrace, a garden or a stage.
Kirtan & Singing Circle
Our voice is a natural gift, and singing together raises our vibrating positive energy, creating an uplifting and harmonizing experience. Seated in a circle, you are guided through group singing of simple, magical and powerful mantras and traditional chants in Sanskrit, Hebrew, English, Spanish and many more languages.
It works as a call and response: one voice leads the line and the group answers. No experience is required, and nobody ever sings alone.
Cacao Ceremony
Cacao has been used since ancient times as an elixir for communion in tribal ceremonies, and the peoples of Mesoamerica considered it a divine and magical gift from the gods. Ceremonial cacao carries the spirit of the plant and its medicine: love.
The ceremony opens the heart and connects us with our divine essence, setting an intention for this moment in life. Live music (sitar, bansuri, frame drum, voices), body movement and voice exploration release blockages and tensions of body and mind, until we arrive at a state of deep communion and sing together in harmony.
Alas de Luz Soul Ritual
Our soul loves to dance, our soul loves to sing, and its essence reveals itself in stillness. The ritual has three stages, held together by the awareness of the breath.
First the breath turns into movement and dance, allowing the body to open, express and communicate. Then we sit in silent meditation, simply observing the breath and allowing ourselves to be in the present moment. Finally, from that stillness, the breath gradually becomes sound: voice toning, liberation, exploration and improvisation, ending with sacred and traditional songs sung together.
